Bulgarian President Elect Rosen Plevneliev has given the start to the National Development Program 2020 debate while on a visit to the Black Sea port of Burgas. In the coming two weeks Plevneliev will tour six regions and seven towns for the launch of the public debate on strategic projects. Regional development will be an important strategic theme of the presidency, Plevneliev told the press in Burgas. In 2012 Bulgaria should negotiate in the most efficient, correct and detailed way the EU funds in the 2014-2020 framework. Everything will be integrated by 2020 – projects, EU funds and other mechanisms of financing used by the state. This debate is important. It will be formative on how Bulgaria will carry out its projects and priorities by 2020, Rosen Plevneliev said.
