The Bulgarian Football Union has officially filed the whole documentation under the country’s candidature to host games of the EURO 2020 football tournament. Thus, Bulgaria became one of the nineteen European countries which have the chance to host games of the EURO 2020 finals. The Bulgarian application is over 400 pages long. The accent of the application fell on the planned construction of a brand new football stadium to replace the current Slavia Stadium in Sofia.
