Bulgarian joins Governing Body of International Labor Organization

The President of the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB) Plamen Dimitrov was elected on June 2 to become a member of the Governing Body of the International Labor Organization. It happened during the 103rd sitting of International Labor Conference which is the supreme body of the oldest organization in the United Nations Family of Organizations. The Governing Body is in fact the executive body of the International Labor Organization. Being a member of the Governing Body of ILO CITUB President Plamen Dimitrov will take part in the decision making process, the implementation of the program and the budget of the International Labor Organization. Dimitrov will also vote for the election of its Director General who serves a five-year mandate.
