Former vocal of the Uriah Heep band John Lowton will sing this year, too, in the first morning of July opening the July Morning Festival at Kamen Bryag on the Black Sea coast. Welcoming the sun at the seashore on July 1 in Bulgaria started as a hippie tradition in 1986. The fest will be marked in other places across the country as well. In Sozopol, again on the coast, the author of the song, Ken Hensley will sing some of his hits. The occasion will also be marked in the vicinity of Aleko Hut in the Vitosha Mountain near Sofia. The idea is launched July 1 to be officially recognized on the national and European level as the “Day of free spirit”. The event takes place with the media support of the BNR.
