The latest versions of Cross-border cooperation programs for the new programming period 2014-2020 were approved by the joint working groups of partner countries. By 2020 in operation will be the programs "Bulgaria - Serbia", "Bulgaria - Turkey" and "Bulgaria - Macedonia" for which the Ministry of Regional Development is the Managing Authority. For projects under the three programs in sustainable tourism, environmental protection and investment in youth a total of 83 million euros will be spent. The draft programs will be introduced in time for approval by the European Commission, the deadline for which is September 22. Given a positive assessment by the Commission, the first calls for proposals can be opened in the spring of next year.
