Tsvetana Pironkova has left the Kremlin Cup tennis tournament after she lost to Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu in three sets, 6-1, 3-6, 2-6. The 27-year-old Bulgarian dominated the game during the first set alone. Later in the match her rival did better and continues her participation in the strong Moscow tournament. In this way Pironkova has missed the chance of becoming the second Bulgarian to triumph with the Kremlin Cup. In 2002 the Cup’s winner was Magdalena Maleeva who beat Lindsay Davenport at the finals.
