Trade Unions demand change in taxation of incomes

Photo: archive

The Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB) insists for a change in the policy on incomes making possible the increase of the average monthly salary to increase by 10% annually. The trade union also demands that the policy on incomes changes through collective agreements between employers and trade unions. Yet another demand is for the minimal salary to reach EUR 200 as of next year. Other suggestions refer to taxation. For some time now the CITUB has been opting for a minimum taxable figure for incomes below the minimal salary; as well as for the working out of a new scale for the taxation if incomes larger than 10 minimal salaries.
