Two-thirds of the insured deposits at Corporate Commercial Bank that was declared bankrupt have been paid out. The amount of deposits paid out so far is 1.15 billion euro, said Radoslav Milenkov, Chairman of the Bulgarian Deposit Insurance Fund Management Board. He explained there was no official statistics as to how much of the amount was paid out in cash but information coming from the nine payout banks suggested that cash payouts came to a mere 1.5 - 2%. This implies depositors prefer to keep their money in the banking system and that they still have trust in it, Milenkov said.
