The Bulgarian Ministry of Defense will be responsible for the transportation of employees of the Ministry of Interior, who guard the border between Bulgaria and Turkey. More than 700 new employees of “Border Police” will be recruited and the construction of the fence with a length of 131 kilometers along the border will be completed. This was what Deputy Prime Minister Meglena Kuneva, Interior Minister Veselin Vuchkov and Defense Minister Nikolay Nenchev said during a meeting of the Council of Ministers. In 2014 some 30 million euros were spent to deal with the refugee pressure and next year Minister Vuchkov says 50 million will be needed. Migration pressure is expected to rise in March, Meglena Kuneva announced.
