Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev and his Serbian counterpart Tomislavc Nikolic have agreed to pay a joint visit to regions with compact ethnic Bulgarian population. The Bulgarian head of state talked about the decision with representatives of the Bulgarian minority in Serbia. The presidents have agreed that the visit should take place this year after the first joint meeting of the two countries’ governments scheduled for not later than September. President Plevneliev pointed out that this would be a clear message to the Bulgarian national minority that Bulgaria and Serbia would work together to guarantee the constitutional rights of ethnic Bulgarians in Serbia.
