Veselin Topalov with first victory at chess tournament in Saint Louis

Veselin Topalov won versus Peter Svidler, Russia with the white pieces in the first round of the Sinquefield Cup Grand Chess Tournament in Saint Louis, USA. In the second round the Bulgarian grandmaster will be playing with the black pieces versus Fabiano Caruana, USA. Svidler who played versus Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, France in Switzerland had to replace Vladimir Kramnik in the last minute for health reasons.
