A requiem and military honors were served to honor the memory of Bulgarian soldiers who died on Mount Kaymakachalan (now in Greece) in 1916 during the First World War. Manufacturers of agricultural products from Haskovo complained about the low purchase price of peppers. They say that there is a massive import of cheaper peppers from Romania, which undercuts the price of their home production.
