Officials from the Agency for Refugees, the Ministry of Interior, Border Police and the security services have discussed at a meeting with Prime Minister Borissov the execution of a plan of action in the case of an increased migration pressure on the border with Turkey. It has been reported at the meeting that a procedure has opened for voluntary return of 50 Afghan nationals who have arrived illegally in Bulgaria, and the papers of 200 other migrants are being processed. The situation at the registration and reception center in Harmanli has returned to normal and measures are made to accommodate foreigners in other centers by raising their capacity. An option is also mulled to transform former frontier posts into accommodation centers for foreigners. These centers will be gated and guarded by Interior Ministry staff.
