Minister Ivelina Vasileva rejects Montupet’s complaint against decision of Ruse Environment Inspectorate to stop aluminium-casting unit

Bulgaria’s outgoing Minister of Environment and Water Ivelina Vasileva rejected the complaint of the French company Montupet against an order of the Regional Environment and Water Inspectorate in Ruse issued in November 2016. The regional inspectorate ordered Montupet to halt operation of its Carousel 1 aluminium-casting installation in the factory for manufacture of aluminum parts for the automotive industry. The Regional Environment and Water Inspectorate in Ruse ascertained uncontrolled gas emissions in the atmosphere and offensive odour coming from the premises of that production facility.
