Athens accuses IMF for delayed talks with international creditors

BGNESThe revised projections of the International Monetary Fund about Greece's finances proved that the reticence of the fund that caused serious delays of the talks with the international creditors was unjustified,the Spokesperson of the Greek government Dimitris Tzanakopoulos told journalists. The revised projections of the International Monetary Fund forthe 2016 primary surplus proves that IMF's reservationsover Greece's fiscal performance which delayed the conclusion of the first and the second programme reviews were unjustified,Dimitris Tzanakopoulos noted.

Turkey's President to start paying foreign visits in May

BGNESIn May this year Turkey is to start making steps in its foreign policy through visits of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in many countries in an attempt to change that country's relations with the international community, because Turkey's image before traditional partners has deteriorated in the recent months marked with local political problems. President Erdogan is to pay visit to Washington as well, where he is to meet for the first time the US President Donald Trump. Recep Erdogan is to meet with Russia's head of state Vladimir Putin in Sochi. Besides, Turkey's President Erdogan will pay official visits to Beijing, Brussels and New Delhi.

Belgrade: Great Albania means great war in the Balkans

minrzs.gov.rsThe European Union should be aware that the idea of Great Albania means a great war in the Balkans, Serbia's Social Minister Aleksandar Vulin warned. If the EU does not at least condemn such an idea, it should know that the whole responsibility about the future events will fall on it, Minister Vulin added.Last week Kosovo's President Hashim Thacisaid that all Albanians in the region would unite intoone state, if the EU shuts its doors on Kosovo. Earlier Albania's Premier Edi Rama announced that he couldn't rule out the possibility of a union between Kosovo and Albania, if the EU membership prospects of the Western Balkans fade.

Civic Initiative for a United Macedonia calls for early Parliamentary elections

BGNESThe Civic Initiative for a United Macedonia has been holding protests in that country's capital Skopje for nearly two whole months. The movement insists that early Parliamentary elections must be held in Macedonia, where the citizens should fully throw off the so-called Tirana Platform “that was made in a foreign country under the guidance of a foreign Premier”.

Ljubljana Airport renamed to Fraport Slovenia

lju-airport.siThe Ljubljana Airport operator was renamed to Fraport Slovenia, in order to meet its new corporate image. In 2014 Ljubljana Airport was acquired by Germany's airport operator Fraport. This is a strong signal of Fraport's commitment as a long-term investor, Slovenia's agency STA points out. After the renovation and the expansion, the now 13,000 square-meter terminal will measure nearly 22,000 square meters. In 2016Ljubljana Airport processed 1.4 million passengers and the number of passengers flying to and from that airport is expected to increase with 8% this year. The new terminal will enable the processing of up to 3 million passengers per year.

Romania intends to buy Patriot missiles

defensenews.comThe Chief of General Staff of Romania's Armed Forces General Nicolae Ciuca announced at a press conference that Romania intended to buy US patriot missiles. General Ciuca did not provide details how many US missiles Romania was planning to buy. AGERPRES quotes State Secretary of the Defense Ministry Florin Lazar Vladica who said that in 2017 Romania will start the procedure for the purchase of Patriot missiles, Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), as well as 8X8 armoured fighting vehicles.
