An international research team from Germany, Bulgaria, Greece, Canada, France and Australia, headed by Prof. Madlene Böhme (Senckenberg Center for Human Evolution with the University of Tubingen)and Prof. Nikolai Spassov (National Museum of Natural History with the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, formilate the thesis, that the evolution line if man originates from the Balkans about 7.2 million years ago.
