At a ceremony in Brussels, Bulgarian writer Ina Vultchanova received the European Union Prize for Literature as emerging author. She has been singled out along with 11 authors from different countries, the BNR correspondent in Brussels reports.
Ina Vultchanova has voiced hopes that her sudden fame shall not block her inspiration for writing:
“After the first genuine joy at winning the prize I told myself that first, from now on people will read my books in a different way – and will become more judgmental. Secondly, from now on, when sitting down to write my next book, I might be trapped in the frustrating thought of who will say what about it”, Ina Vultchanova admitted.
