During the day for high guests at the national military exercise with international participation Breeze 2017 in Varna, the military participants demonstrated a counter-terrorist action against a group supposedly attacking a vessel. They also showed how a fire on a cargo vessel is to be extinguished within the harbor; how to counter illegal migrant trafficking by sea; the rescuing of a large number of people at sea; curbing enemy air attacks, etc. Twenty combat and auxiliary ships and boats, a submarine, four airplanes, two helicopters and over 1700 military from the forces of Bulgaria, Great Britain, Greece, Italy, Poland, Romania, USA and Turkey. Excavation works continue on the site of the early neolithical settlement unearthed several years ago in the present-day Slatina quarters of the capital Sofia.
