Brewers in Bulgaria mark their professional day. Their produce – beer, is the most consumed alcoholic beverage across the world and the third most popular drink after water and tea.. The beginning of the industrial production of beer in Bulgaria is considered to be the opening of the first breweries after the Liberation in 1878. The municipality of the village of Riltsi and the Church Board of the local temple named after Prophet St. Elijah organized a traditional gathering feast marking Ilinden (the Day of St. Elijah). The church yard became once again the place where the traditional “kurban” – meat dish offering is cooked to be given out to believers coming for the festive mass. Two new connections of the highway link of Plodovitovo save 40 kilometers and at least 30 minutes necessary until now for covering the distance between the Maritsa and the Trakia highways.
