Bulgaria loses to France 0:1 in World Cup qualifier

In its last-but-one match in Group A qualifications for the 2018 World Cup in football in Russia, Bulgaria lost to France 0:1 as host at Vasil Levski National Stadium in Sofia

In this way the French side is Group A leader with 20 points followed by Sweden with 19 points, the Netherlands with 16 points and Bulgaria with 12 points.

After this loss Bulgaria has no longer even theoretical chances to make it to the playoffs.
