Journalist and MP of the Bulgarian Socialist party, Elena Yoncheva, has filed a defamation claim for EUR 10,000 against Prime Minister Boyko Borissov over his words that the state had paid millions for Yoncheva's interviews.
The case starts today in the absence of Yoncheva and Borissov. The lawyers of the prime minister have presented dozens of documents, which, according to them, proved that Yoncheva was receiving money from BNT, as the money came from advertising of state-owned enterprises. The next hearing was scheduled for December 5th.
