The excellent relations of good neighboring between Bulgaria and Turkey are a prerequisite for the enhancing of the economic development in interest of both states, said PM Boyko Borissov during a talk with Minister of Customs and Trade of Turkey Bülent Tüfenkci. The Bulgarian premier outlined the significant growth in turnover since the start of the year, which in his words testified on the existence of potential that could be developed. Borissov pointed at the volume of Turkish investments in this country, coming up to the tune of EUR 24.5 mln. over the first three months of 2017 and accentuated on the efforts of the cabinet to improve the business environment here. Cooperation between the customs of the two states and the significance of the timely exchange of information in this sphere were also discussed at the meeting. The two countries will work for better synchronization of the cargos’ processing at the border and will carry out joint operations against drug trafficking and smuggling.
