Inflation since the beginning of year has reached 1.9 percent

Inflation in Bulgaria since the beginning of the year (October 2017 compared to December 2016) has reached 1.9 percent, while annual inflation rate for October 2017 compared to October 2016 is 2.5 percent, the NSI reported.

The Consumer Price Index for October 2017 compared to September 2017 is 100.6%, which means inflation is 0.6%. The average annual inflation rate for the period November 2016 - October 2017 compared to November 2015 - October 2016 is 1.5 percent.

In the third quarter of 2017, Gross Domestic Product grew by 3.9% compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year and by 0.9% on the second quarter of 2017. The unemployment rate reached 5.8 percent, or 1.2 percentage points lower than in the third quarter of 2016.
