At 6:24 AM Greece was shaken by a strong earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 to 5.2 on the Richter scale.
The quake was the most powerful among ten tremors registered during the night in Greece.
Apart from that country it was also felt in the Republic of Macedonia and in Southwestern Bulgaria, especially in the region of Petrich.
