Mihail Ganev with bronze from Euro 2017 following Russian athlete positive doping test

The world champion from 2010 Miahil Ganev will receive a bronze medal from the European Wrestling Championships held in Novi Sad in 2017 where he ranked fifth.

The silver medalist in his category (97 kg, freestyle wrestling) Anzor Boltukaev from Russia has tested positive for doping. This way the Bulgarian wrestler becomes third taking away the bronze.

With the new distinction the medal collection of the Bulgarian team from Novi Sad 2017 now has seven pieces and the total of medals for the past season in all age groups from world and European championships comes to 20 pieces.
