Bulgaria is likely to benefit from a possible trade war between the USA and China. This is according to Latchezar Dinev, Chairman of the Bulgaria-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry

In case China imposes customs duties on US goods such as wine, food etc., Bulgaria as a big producer of such products could benefit from the situation.

Latchezar Dinevhas explained that 42 Bulgarian companies have operations in China. Currently Bulgaria exports to China mostly non-ferrous metals accounting for 90% of exports.

Mr Dinev has said that recently there has been a much more positive attitude towards Chinese businesses. He has been explicit that this country should work harder for closer cooperation with China.
