Bulgaria plans to carry out further alleviations for the import of workers from third countries with Bulgarian ethnic origin.
To make this happen, the regulations for the enforcement of the Foreigners in the Republic of Bulgaria Act will be amended.
In a bid to make up for the deficit of staff on the labor market the state will admit foreigners of Bulgarian descent to the Bulgarian territory without a visa (currently mandatory), provided the worker has concluded a labor contract registered at the National Revenue Agency with a local employer.
Such persons will have the right to apply for a permanent resident status without being asked to produce proof of means of livelihood.
The amendments should be discussed and passed within a month.
