Sofia hosts historic EU-Western Balkans Summit

Today Sofia is hosting a historic summit "European Union - Western Balkans". 

During the forum, European leaders are discussing with colleagues from the Western Balkans the concrete steps for the region's European integration.

The summit is planned to close with the adoption of a roadmap from Sofia. Its final declaration is expected to be signed by all 28 EU member states and the 6 countries of the Western Balkans.

Taking part in the summit are all heads of state or government of the European Union countries with the exception of Spain which is represented by its permanent representative to Brussels.

On the sidelines of the summit, Athens and Skopje will focus on the Macedonia naming dispute.
