On occasion of the International Day for Biological Diversity the Institute for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Research at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IBER-BAS) presented the first textbook on nature conservation in Bulgarian - “Conservation Biology” by R. Primack, Y. Uzunov and B. Georgiev. The manual is an adapted edition of Richard Primack’s textbook. Richard Primack is a Professor of biology at the Boston University. It is enriched with examples from the Bulgarian nature and the problems related to nature conservation in this country. Professor Boyko Georgiev contends that the new textbook will take nature conservation in Bulgaria to a higher level.
