For the third year in a row the Dalmatian pelicans, nesting on the wooden platforms in the swamp of Peschina in Persina Natural Park, are expecting their offspring. For the time being there are nine pairs of pelicans nesting in the locality. This colony of Dalmatian pelicans is the latest nesting one in Europe. Photo: bspb.org

On the occasion of May 24 – the Day of Bulgarian Spirituality, Education and Culture and of the Slavonic Script, the Academy Askeer Foundation gave its annual awards for the 28th time in a row.
