Commodity exchange with Russia grows 40% in 2017

In 2017, commodity exchange between Bulgaria and Russia grew more than 40% exceeding 4.2 billion dollars. This has been made clear during talks of the Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Economy Alexander Manolev with Vladimir Padalko, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

Pharmaceuticals are among the leading groups of goods exported by Bulgaria on the Russian market. There is untapped potential in machine-building and construction materials, as well as in perfumery, cosmetics and wine.

Priority will be given to boosting cooperation at the regional level and to the expansion of direct contacts between small and medium sized enterprises from the two countries.
