Registered unemployed persons in Bulgaria at the end of June were 188,576. Their number has shrunk by 5.9 percent on the previous month, and by 15.9 percent on the same period of last year. Newly registered unemployed persons during the period are 21,898: of them 1 704 have not been employed, have not studied or searched for employment so far, figures from the Employment Agency suggest. Since January, officials in the labor bureaus assist close to 32,000 Bulgarians in finding jobs by means of presentations to students, labor markets and consultations with specialists. 797 unemployed persons have chosen to requalify and acquire new skills in tourism, construction and digital entrepreneurship. Currently, the greatest shortages of workers are seen in the processing industry, trade, the hospitality industry and in public administration.
