Prime Minister Borissov congratulates the participants in Platinum Lion 2018 military drill

Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borisov has congratulated the participants in the multinational joint military drill "Platinum Lion 2018" which was carried out at the Novo Selo training area near Sliven on their extremely good results. Borisov stressed that for the first time the process of planning and carrying out the military exercise is entirely the responsibility of the Bulgarian Land Forces. With drills such as the Platinum Lion, we change the way of thinking, we learn to fight together, to defend ourselves and guarantee the security not only in the Balkans,  to our citizens, but also in the Black Sea region," the prime minister said. Since the beginning of the month, military officers from 8 nations – NATO members Bulgaria, the United States, Albania, Romania, and the member states of the Partnership for Peace initiative - Georgia, Moldova, Serbia and Montenegro have been involved in drills focused on protection measures again terrorists.
