Large-scale police operation targeting illegal migrants in Sofia

A large-scale police and gendarmerie operation focusing on illegal migrants has taken place in the villages of Svetovrachane and Negovan near Sofia. The Interior Ministry has reported that 11 people of unknown origin have been detained. It is yet to be clarified how migrants entered the country, whether they were trafficked through the Turkish border, or if they have registration in one of the centers of the State Agency for Refugees.
