The autumn season of Bulgarian National Library "Sts. Cyril and Methodius" has started with an exhibition dedicated to the 220th anniversary of the beginning of the military campaign of Napoleon Bonaparte in Egypt. The exhibition is the first of its kind in Bulgaria, created on the basis of the rich archive and book fund of the National Library. The archival materials are from a collection of the library, called “Oriental Collection”. For the first time, archive documents in Arabic and Ottoman languages related to military actions and to diplomatic relations between the parties of the conflict are presented.
