Bulgarian Vice President Iliana Iotova has been given assurances by Slovak President Andrej Kiska that his country will support Bulgaria for Schengen and the Eurozone.

At a meeting in Bratislava Kiska hailed Bulgaria for its successful Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The sides have expressed the opinion that the countries of the Western Balkans should be given a perspective for actual European integration so that they can work together with the EU member states for the development of the European Union.

The Bulgarian vice president has voiced hopes that the countries that will take over the EU presidency after Bulgaria, will continue Bulgaria’s policy regarding the countries of the Western Balkans.
