The European Central Bank has chosen to check six of Bulgaria’s biggest banks as part of the procedure for this country’s accession to the European Banking Union and the ERM II Mechanism (Eurozone’s waiting room). According to publications in Mediapool and Capital, the three biggest banks in Bulgaria-UniCredit Bulbank, DSK and UBB, as well as First Investment Bank will be subject to stress tests.
