SANS employee in group facing charges for trade in historical, cultural valuables

An employee of the Bulgarian State Agency for National Security (SANS) and three other persons have been detained on charges of trade in cultural and historical valuables.

Gold artefacts – two bracelets, а torc and a gold wreath have been found in their possession. The objects are dated to 4 c. BC.

Only one of the artefacts that were the property of the aristocracy was planned for sale at the price of 2 million euro.

An international expertise will be prepared for the treasure.
