A record number of animals were born in Sofia’s Zoo in 2018. 139 baby animals were born during the year, 15 more than in 2017, among them animals of the species fallow deer, kangaroo, Egyptian vulture, toucan and South American coati.
For the first time in 2018 ring-tailed lemur, green aracari and Harris's hawk babies were born at the Sofia Zoo.
