The "Treasures of the Earth" shows exhibits from the funds of two museums in Sofia – the National Museum of History and the Earth and Man Museum. Host of the exhibition is the National Museum of History, and the aim is to highlight the connection between natural and cultural heritage in Bulgarian lands. Such an exhibition takes place for the first time as on display are ancient tools, unique artifacts and natural precious stones, as well as minerals used by man since ancient times. Exhibits are over 120, among them a piece of gold from the Ogosta River, of those used for manufacturing unique jewelry 6000 years ago. Among the exhibits of the National Museum of History visitors would see the icon "Twelve Lord's Feasts" from Ohrid, which dates back to the 12th century. A central place in the exhibition has the Ohrid Archbishop's crown, made in Venice in the early 18th century, as well as a jade belt buckle found on Cape Kaliakra. It dates back to the 14th century and was probably made in China during the Yuan Dynasty.
