Bulgarian authorities outraged by extremist gathering in Sofia

The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned a meeting of far-right organizations from Bulgaria and abroad that took place April 21 in Sofia. The ministry defines posters of Adolf Hitler and defamation of monuments and public buildings with Nazi symbols as a gross provocation against the morale of Bulgarian society and Bulgarian history. These cynical manifestations have no place in our country and do not reflect the value system of our people. They will be pursued with the absolute severity of the law, as Bulgarian authorities oppose all forms of antisemitism, xenophobia, racism and hate speech both in this country, Europe and around the world, the foreign ministry said in a statement.
