Over the 2008-2018 period the number of overnight stays in Sofia has gone up by 36 percent and the number of foreign tourists – by 82 percent. This is a steady tendency, the growth rate has been stable since 2009, the Mayor of Sofia said. Last year alone there is an increase of 4 percent.
