The Supreme Prosecutor's Office of Cassation is launching a probe, on its own initiative, into property owned by the family of opposition MP and MEP candidate Elena Yoncheva over media publications.

Within the space of one month the probe should establish whether the three guest houses built are being used as such. Certified copies are required of registers of tourists who have stayed there – foreign and Bulgarian citizens – documents certifying the registration and categorization of the facilities, information regarding payment of overnight stays tourist taxes.

The documentary verification concerns activities under the Rural Development Progamme financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
