Giuliano Eduardo Dollo is a photographer and actor with an interesting life story. His artistic nickname is Júlio Dōjō. He was born in 1992 in Germany. His father is a German real estate agent and his mother is a Bulgarian who is an artist by profession. He speaks Bulgarian, German, English, and Spanish. As a child he used to spend his family vacations in Bulgaria’s Dobrich, where his mother was born, or in the village of Podslon, where his grandmother and grandfather lived. Since then, his passion for photography and short films has grown. He first started shooting using his father's camera, before buying his own. He is an engineer by profession, but a few years ago he decided to devote himself entirely to his love of cinema. In April of 2019, at the Master of Art Festival, Júlio Dōjō won the short film award with his film "UMNATA" (Act wisely! – an advice elderly people often give to the young) – a five-minute video tour across Bulgaria.
Editing of the video continued for several weeks. Julio says he usually worked more than 14 hours a day on it. Details in the film that are less than a second-long, sometimes took hours of editing. “It is a documentary about Bulgaria’s nature and culture. It is dedicated not only to my grandmother, but also to me as a person, so it becomes a source of inspiration when I feel insecure or demotivated," the young artist says. The festival in Bulgaria is the first contest in which she participates but plans to show "Umnata" in several cinema art schools. He has been determined to continue seeking cooperation with Bulgarian travel companies and various media. "Bulgaria is a beautiful country and I would like, through my short films, to popularize it across the globe among people of all ages; to be an ambassador of this beauty, with the help of friends and people who think like me."
