The Archeological Museum in Sofia is the venue of the exhibition “Colorful images from Ancient Rome: Mosaics from the Capitoline Museums”. The museum has put on display fragments from 21 mosaics from Rome from the 1st century BC to the 6th century AD, which have been unearthed in the second half of the 19th and the early 20th centuries. The exhibition is organized by the Italian Cultural Institute in Bulgaria, the National Archeological and History Museum with the BAS and the Capitoline Museums in Rome.  Photos: BTA
