the International Music Festival "Accordomania – 2019" has started in Bulgaria’s Pleven. The music forum, which continues until June 9, has started with a record number of participants and guests. This is the first of a kind event in Bulgaria that brings together competition, master classes, concerts and creative contacts with the big names in accordion music. The festival focuses on four directions – classical and entertaining music, chamber music and folklore. Novelty in the Folklore category is the requirement for accordionists to present not only their skills but also their ability to accompany folk singers and instrumentalists. The international jury includes representatives from Russia, France, Serbia and Bulgaria. For the first time in this country there is a selection for participants in the "World Trophy" competition of the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes. World-famous Russian accordionist Yuri Shishkin, as well as Plamen Dimitrov and Angel Chakarov take part in the concerts accompanying the festival program.
