As of today the citizens of Sofia can view the exposition “Meeting Glances”. The collection of photographs is arranged along Lovers’ Bridge by the National Palace of Culture. The event is occasioned by the forthcoming of the Sixth World Congress of Information Agencies to be held in Sofia. The collection on display shows photographs of agencies from 45 countries, showing the various cultural identities from five continents.  Photo: BTA


Ambassadors to Bulgaria of 19 countries made today a symbolic clearing of the first mosaic unveiled for exposition at the Bishop’s Basilica of Philippopolis in the city of Plovdiv. The official unveiling as a museum exhibit will be made in September. The diplomats gathered in Plovdiv at the initiative of the investor engaged with this large-scale project for the restoration and exposing for viewers and socializing the remains of the Bishop’s Basilica, namely the “America for Bulgaria” Foundation, with the idea to get acquainted with the messages for togetherness, understanding, respect and unity, which will be inscribed in a wall at the entrance of the future museum site.  Photo: BTA


A colourful parade of all participants – over 200 artists from 15 theater troops across Europe – brought to an end the 10-day festival “Plovdiv Caravan”.
