We hope that on occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and China the two countries will reach significant results, Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov pointed out at the meeting with the member of the 19th Politburo of the Communist Party and Deputy Premier of China Li Hongzhong. Premier Borissov underlined that Sofia supports the 17+1 and One Belt, One Road initiatives. We would like to see these initiatives yield practical results through the fulfillment of energy and infrastructure projects in Bulgaria with Chinese investments and participation in line with the principles and the norms of the EU and without any state guarantees, Boyko Borissov said. We also rely on our Chinese friends to increase the number of Chinese tourists visiting Bulgaria, Premier Borissov went on to say.
