The explanation for this attitude is that the ruling party managed to win the elections for the European Parliament. Prime Minister Boyko Borissov enjoys the highest political rating of 36% support. He is followed by Deputy Prime Minister Krassimir Karakachanov with 29% support among voters. Third is BSP leader Kornelia Ninova with 24%. A large share of Bulgarians 42% believe that the parties should receive a state subsidy of 1 Bulgarian lev or about 0.50 euro per vote.
