The film Ága is Bulgaria’s Oscar nomination

The film Ága directed by Milko Lazarov is Bulgaria’s Academy Award Best International Feature Film nomination.

The film was selected for participation by the National Cinema Council with chairman Vladimir Andreev. Ága is a Bulgaria-Germany-France coproduction with screenwriters Milko Lazarov and Simeon Ventsislavov.

The film tells the story of the Eskimos Nanook and Sedna who dream of finding their daughter Ága who lives a modern life in the city. The story highlights the way the modern world changes human relationships.
